However, many specialists also comply with it since studies have shown that it could be beneficial because the learning in the first stage of its life is more lasting.

Although specialists have already determined that the performance of children under three years of age improves in areas such as math, science and language,  few public education institutions offer options for this stage of the process. early childhood education.  In the case of private education, it is more or less the same thing, but with a little more offers.

In particular,  studies have determined that the rates of children enrolled at age three or earlier are much lower, reflecting the fact that, for a variety of reasons, it is more difficult for parents to take this initiative.

That is, although it is not an obligation for the child to pass the age  of three to start school,  most families have followed this custom.

What was the study based on?

According to the National Institute for Educational Assessment, several factors influence the effect of schooling on students when they enter school. Therefore, the study was based on the differences that children have in their cognitive maturation.

While it is true that children over three years old should have a higher level of maturity,  we also know that young children have developed and internalized very complex learning.

For this age, a child must master at least one linguistic structure and coexist with elements of space, time and numerical value since birth.

At three years old, a child is able to speak, understand and be understood ; he can eat, he has probably stopped wearing diapers and, depending on the stimulation received at home, he is able to identify shapes, colors and textures. In this sense,  there are no marked differences between previous age and usual schooling.

In order to obtain results in terms of academic performance,  the experts analyzed small fourth-graders who had been  enrolled before the age of three. The diagnosis revealed that they may have an advantage greater than forty points, which is the reverse in the case of economically less advantaged children.

In this regard, the study as such evaluated some twenty-eight thousand Spanish children in the fourth grade;  The assessment focused on four general areas,  such as mathematics, linguistics, social and civic interaction, and knowledge of the physical world. Analysis of the results concluded that  the differences favored schoolchildren before the age of three.

Is it beneficial to register children before the age of three?

According to studies in this area, it is advantageous to get children to school before the age of three. In this respect, children who have started attending classes after three years are at a disadvantage compared to those who have already started non-compulsory private education.

It also shows that due to the lack of places to receive these young students in a public establishment,  these socioeconomically disadvantaged children are disadvantaged.  Likewise, the study found that young children do not quickly attain required skills. This means that they have to deal with more complex proposals without experience.

The benefits of early schooling are focused on math and language skills, which increases the benefits in communication and development of the remaining areas. Therefore, it is an advantage that can be appreciated individually by the student, as  well as by an institutional level of education, since the education raises its standards.

In this regard, specialists advise to increase the number of places available for the education of children and also to incorporate more advanced programs .  That is, the content of the first cycle of education must be changed to provide an elementary level of mathematical instruction and reading.

However, other factors may affect the acquisition of some of these advantages, as the curriculum structure of the institution,  the training and methodology of the teacher, as well as the quality of education in the school, may determine if the child is favored.
