What is DSA?

Another disorder of the DSA group is dyscalculia. This type of difficulty in children occurs specifically in learning mathematics.
In other words, it is a permanent difficulty in learning and understanding numerical concepts, such as performing calculations. Dyscalculia is present in 3-6% of school-aged children.
Symptoms that may indicate the presence of an AED
During the period of learning of the child, it is necessary to pay attention to certain symptoms that may occur. Among the most visible and common are the confusion of words that are visually similar and also other short words.
On the other hand, when the child omits words, ignores punctuation and reverses letters of words, these are also symptoms of possible learning disabilities.
Finally, perhaps one of the most striking symptoms of AEDs is that children read and lose their lines, without fully understanding what they are reading. The regular presence of any of these symptoms in a child may mean that they are having difficulty in the learning process.
Early diagnosis of AEDs
Learning disabilities, also known as DSA, do not always manifest the same in all children. In some cases the symptoms will be more obvious, and in others not so obvious; that is, the observation will have to be made more acute.
The importance of early diagnosis is crucial so that treatment for AEDs can begin as early as possible. It is essential that this early diagnosis of the disorders be made, as the symptoms become more and more pronounced over time.
At the same time, it is extremely important that parents and teachers work together on each child’s learning. Early diagnosis of any DSA disorder offers more possibilities than more effective treatment to correct it.
